A man has been charged after he ran on to Dublin Airport’s tarmac because he missed his flight.

 

A man who was late for his flight to Amsterdam ran out of the departures area at Dublin Airport and attempted to flag down the aircraft before being arrested.

 

Patrick Kehoe, 23, reportedly banged on the window of the terminal moments before his flight departed.

On the day of the incident, a Garda spokesman said: “A male in his 20s is scheduled to appear before Court No 4, The Criminal Courts of Justice at 10.30am this morning charged in connection with an incident at Dublin Airport.

 

“The incident occurred at approximately 7am this morning and a male in his 20s was arrested and taken to Ballymun Garda Station.”

 

Mr Kehoe is charged with criminal damage to a magnetic door lock at Gate 106 at Dublin Airport.

 

The defendant dropped his trousers and mooned at photographers after he was let out on bail by Dublin District Court.
